Hunter Events — one of the top ten corporate event planners in San Francisco — hosted a Corporate Cocktail Reception at Victor’s Palace inside The Westin St. Francis Hotel in the heart of San Francisco’s Union Square.
The Corporate Cocktail Reception was the final event during a 3-day conference which brought in guests from all corners of the United States, as well as a large number of local attendees. During the Conference, the guests participated in all-day meetings with guest speakers, round table discussions and team building events, as well as a formal Corporate Dinner.
COCKTAIL AND MEAL COORDINATION
As with all corporate company events planned by our team, the menu for this Corporate Cocktail Reception was carefully crafted with the help the Chef and tailored to the Client’s specific needs. Butlers presented trays of delicious hors d’oeuvres as guests entered the room. They also enjoyed an Asian Fusion buffet complete with steamed BBQ pork buns, BBQ Cantonese spare ribs, crispy vegetable spring rolls, mushroom potstickers, shrimp dumplings, pork sui mai, and wok stir-fried rice. A variety of desserts — tarts, macaroons, puffs and even crème brûlée — delighted each guest. And selection of fine cocktails were available for guests to toast to a successful conference.
VENUE SEARCH AND PRODUCTION

As the only hotel directly located on San Francisco’s vibrant Union Square, The Westin St. Francis Hotel offered visiting guests convenient access to some of the city’s most interesting landmarks. The hotel’s larger spaces comfortably accommodated all guests during the day-long meetings, and smaller-breakout rooms were offered for more intimate discussions and team building activities. Specialty reception rooms were available to host the Corporate Dinner, and most notably — the Corporate Cocktail Reception which was held at Victor’s Palace.
The view from Victor’s Palace is one of the best in the city. Decorated in tones of imperial blue, periwinkle, violet and gold, Victor’s Palace is beautifully and sumptuously designed, with floor-length windows that overlook the Bay Bridge, Pacific Bell Park and the Financial District. Victor’s is named for the legendary Victor Hirtzler, venerable chef of the St. Francis from 1904 until 1926, who is said to be one of the pioneers of California Cuisine. Every detail in this room was custom designed to make you and your guests feel luxurious.
Hunter Events also enhanced the already gorgeous space with a touch of blue uplighting, and illuminated company signage and banners to create an upscale lounge-like setting for the reception. Linen-draped cocktail tables were spaced throughout the room to provide conversation places for guests, and buffet stations were centrally located for quick access as the guests mingled about.
Guests at the Corporate Cocktail Reception were able to engage in conversation with their colleagues in an elegant and grand environment. Everyone enjoyed the delicious cuisine, spectacular views of the city and the chance to toast to a successful 3-day conference. The client was pleased with the venue’s hospitality, as well as the outstanding service and event planning provided by Hunter Events.
