2022 Fashion Show

EVENT OVERVIEW

Hunter Events coordinated and produced a Fashion Show dubbed “Puttin’ on the Glitz” for the San Francisco Rotary Club at the Hotel Nikko  in San Francisco.  This was the first time in its long history that The San Francisco Rotary Club hosted a Fashion Show. The event was sold out.

Hunter Events has been contributing its time (this particular event took over two months to plan) and event coordinating services for The San Francisco Rotary Club for the past two years.  It has been a pleasure.

A cocktail hour kicked off the event in the pre-function area.  The area was set with raised cocktail rounds and “glitzy” attired greeters were stationed at the front door to greet the guests upon arrival.   A sound system was brought in to the pre-function area and played high energy music (along with a thumping bass so guests could feel the energy) to set the tone and create excitement before guests eagerly awaited entering the room.  The doors to the Ballroom were purposely closed to build the anticipation. 

When the doors to the Monterey Ballroom opened, guests were treated to a sumptuous three-course meal.  A dramatic 48’ runway ran down the center of the rectangular room.  Theatrical lighting was used to uplight the stage curtains and a white lighting wash filled the runway during the exciting Fashion Show.  A variety of couture fashions were modeled by 18 models and the guests were ecstatic.  Miss Nepal graced the stage and the show was concluded with Miss California.

MEAL COORDINATION

As with all company events planned by Hunter Events, the menu for this gala was carefully crafted and tailored to the Client’s specific needs. To expedite the food service, the Salad was pre-set to keep service moving along.  The entrée was Coq Au Vin with Pearl Pasta and Roasted Squash.  As always, a Vegetarian entrée is also offered at any Hunter Event. The meal beautifully concluded with a Chocolate Fondant Cake with a Cinnamon Caramel Sauce. 

FLOOR PLAN, ROOM DESIGN AND EVENT PRODUCTION

The floor plan, room set, design and room lighting were and are critical components for not only this event — but for each and every event that Hunter Events produces.  Hunter carefully designed and laid out the room with a modest sized stage, connected to a long and dramatic 48’ long X 6′ wide runway, which ran down the center of the rectangular room.  Guest tables were strategically placed on either side of the runway or “catwalk” so each guest had a clear and unobstructed view of the Fashion Show.  When the show began, the house lights went out and theatrical lighting was used to uplight the stage curtains.  Each time a model graced the stage, the stage lighting colors were changed.  White lights illuminated the runway during the extent of this exciting and colorful Fashion Show.
