EVENT OVERVIEW

Hunter Events — one of the top ten Corporate Event Planners in San Francisco — planned, produced and coordinated a Closing Night Cocktail Reception at The Claremont Club and Spa, Berkeley, CA.

As with all of the events Hunter designs and produces, room lighting, food and bar presentation and room ambiance are critical aspects for each event. Hunter spends a great deal of time designing the lighting and ‘look and feel’ of the buffets, bars and overall room lighting. Careful attention is paid to the food presentation; the food becomes edible art, placed in or on hand selected, modern clean containers. The appropriate tone needs to be designed for whatever the occasion might be. In this case – the last night of a 3-Day Conference – Hunter created a soothing, ambient and relaxing atmosphere.

This Corporate Cocktail Reception was the final night of a 3-day Conference. Guests from all corners of the United States joined a group of local attendees for the all-day meetings, guest speakers, round table discussions and team building events, as well as an Opening Night Reception.

COCKTAIL AND MEAL COORDINATION

As with all Corporate Company Events planned by our team, the menu for this cocktail reception was carefully crafted with the help the Chef and tailored to the Client’s specific needs. Guests enjoyed a sushi bar — complete with a fine selection of maki, nigiri, sashimi and an assortment of rolls. A made-to-order risotto station, a House spiced Rubbed Brisket carving station, a slider station and a variety of individually served salad bites delighted each guest. A bubbles and chocolate bar, complete with sparkling wine and delicious desserts, rounded out the experience.

Massage Therapy

As The Claremont is a Spa, guests were offered a chair massage therapy session. The seasoned therapists focused on the areas of the body that carry tension, including the neck, back, and arms. A Massage Concierge handled the scheduling on site to assure the guests a spot. Because no special preparation or clothing removal is necessary, the guests felt as comfortable as possible during the massage. And, if their eyes were open, they would have seen the beautiful sunset across the bay. All guests felt rejuvenated, reenergized and ready to mingle after this wonderful treat.

VENUE SEARCH AND PRODUCTION

Located just a few miles from downtown San Francisco, the Claremont Hotel offers large, flexible meeting rooms high atop the scenic Berkeley/Oakland Hills. The hotel’s larger spaces comfortably accommodated all guests during the day-long meetings, and smaller-breakout rooms were offered for more intimate discussions and team building activities.

For this Closing Night Corporate Cocktail party, Hunter Events transformed The Meritage Room in The Claremont Hotel into an upscale lounge-like setting. Pin spot lighting was hung from above to dramatically light the buffet tables and bars. A sophisticated and mellow blue hue washed the room.

The buffet tables were strategically placed in the center of the room to create a centralized location for guests to gather, and to leave enough open space for mingling as they sampled the variety of menu items. Massage chairs were also brought in for attendees to relax at the touch of a licensed therapist.

EVENT IMPACT

Guests at the Corporate Cocktail Reception were able to engage in conversation with their colleagues in a carefree, yet stylish environment. Everyone enjoyed the delicious cuisine, spectacular views of the city and the chance to toast to a successful 3-day Conference. The Client was pleased with the venue’s hospitality, as well as the outstanding service and event planning provided by Hunter Events.
